Harry Linton Obituary
Obituary published on Legacy.com by Frazer Cremations & Funerals - South Lyon on Oct. 24, 2023.
On October 23, 2023, at the age of 70, Harry Phillip Linton, known lovingly as "Phil" or "hairball" to those who love and know him passed away peacefully at home In White Lake MI. He was surrounded by his family, his fur babies and his faith for what was to come. Harry was preceded in death by his mother and father Shirley and Harry Linton & sister Shirley Linton.
Harry is survived by the love of his life Sharon (Burke) Linton, his three adored children Harry "Jamie" (Heather) Linton, Amanda (Frank) El- Chaer, and Cathi Linton, and the joy of his heart his grandbabies Elsi and Elias El-Chaer. Harry also leaves behind so many nieces, nephews, brothers, sisters, and treasured family members as well.
Harry was an extremely attentive son who took care of his mother diligently for years. He always tried to keep in touch with his siblings and acted as the glue with his brothers and sisters. He was the most devoted husband and friend to Sharon for the last 44 years. They were each other's true soul mates, and he loved her unconditionally with everything he had. As a dad he was beyond genuinely proud of his three children and relentlessly cheered them on in everything they did. He was the world's best Papa and would always make sure he was there to make memories on birthdays and special occasions. Harry put his family above everything else and would do anything for their happiness.
Harry never hesitated to show up for his family and friends or anyone really. He always showed kindness to those around him and when he loved you, he LOVED you and nothing changed that. He welcomed you without exception. Everyone gravitated towards Harry, especially children and animals, they knew there was safety with him. He had an infectious smile and laugh, that you couldn't avoid being drawn in by, and he sure loved a good party.
Harry was the biggest goofball always cracking jokes and playing pranks but wouldn't hesitate to give you the shirt off his back. He was very thoughtful about the gifts he picked out for you and went out of his way to find something you would love. He loved a good cup of coffee, an impromptu card game, and of course anything sports related. Especially his Detroit teams, good or bad he was a loyal lion's fan. He enjoyed relaxing with a Gunsmoke show or the latest wrestling match, and of course never missed the new Jurassic Park movie. As picky as Harry was with food he sure enjoyed eating oysters cooked in milk.
Hard worker cannot even begin to describe Harry. He never took the easy route, and always showed up for the job. He worked tirelessly to support his family in any way he could. Family and friends and pretty much anyone that knows Harry can agree it's impossible to find something negative to say about him. Harry was a man of faith and a pure soul on earth. He was it all, Husband, brother, Father, Papa, uncle, Father-in-law, friend, and will be truly missed in all our lives.
