Harry Lochbaum Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, LLP - West 38th St. on Jan. 13, 2026.
Harry S. Lochbaum, age 83, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 10, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on June 3, 1942, a son of the late Harry and Celestine (Schaff) Lochbaum. He was also lovingly supported by his late stepfather, Pat Rohaly. In addition to his parents, Harry was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Lochbaum.
Harry was a proud United States Navy veteran, having honorably served his country aboard the USS Saratoga. Following his military service, he built a life defined by hard work and independence. He was an entrepreneur who owned businesses in Ridgway and Erie, Pennsylvania, and Clearwater, Florida, and he took great pride in his work ethic and determination. Harry also loved carpentry and working with his hands, finding joy and purpose in creating and fixing things throughout his life. A well-known hobby of Harry's was hand rolling cigars.
Above all, Harry was a devoted family man whose steady presence, kindness, and practical wisdom left a lasting impact on all who knew him.
Survivors include three children, Joseph (Lisa) Lochbaum, Donald (Kathryn Luther) Lochbaum and Darcy (Christopher) Rees; five grandchildren, Cameron Rees, Colson Rees, Bobby Haines, Lacy Lochbaum, and Carissa Lochbaum; along with many nieces and nephews who also survive.
Services and burial were private and held at Erie County Memorial Gardens.
Arrangements were handled by Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1595 West 38th Street.

So sorry for your loss. He was such a sweet man and I enjoyed taking care of him as one of his nurses. One of my favorite residents.
