Harry F. Podvia, 89, of Rostraver Township, passed away on Sunday August 17, 2025. He was born on April 19, 1936 in West Newton, a son of the late Harry Podvia Sr. and Kathryn Fulmer Podvia.

Harry was a 1954 graduate of West Newton High School and attended Slippery Rock University. In high school, he played football and was a member of the West Newton Drum and Bugle Corps. Over the years, Harry worked at Wagner Gas and Oil, Borden Chemical Co. and LESCO, where he was a top salesman. He was a member of Concord United Methodist Church in Rostraver Township, the Mt. Pleasant Hunt Club and the Star Junction Sportsmans Club. He participated in the "Stock the Yough" program and was an Associate Member of the Fraternal Order of Police. Harry had also obtained his private pilot's license. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening, growing his own vegetables, especially his famous oxheart tomatoes! He enjoyed traveling to Florida, Pymatuning Lake and Deep Creek Lake. He wa a 50 year member of the Tri-County Lodge No. 252 F&AM Donora.

He is survived by his daughters, Pamela (Vincent) Belczyk of Rostraver Township and Debra Woss of Rostraver Township; grandchildren, Ashley (Parker) Napierkowski, Collin Woss (Christine Esmond), Elissa (Chase) Fetterman, Ryan (Dana) Belczyk, Aleah Belczyk (Jason Sebecic), Katie Byerly and Emilio Byerly; great-grandchildren, Hayden Woss, Brayson Fetterman, Ryker Fetterman and Trent Fetterman; and son-in-law, Thomas Byerly of Westerville, OH.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Indof Podvia; daughter, Kim Byerly; and son-in-law Charles Woss.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM in the James C. Stump Funeral Home Inc., 580 Circle Drive, Rostraver Township (724-929-7934) www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com where a Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 11:30 AM with Pastor Sandra Fitzgibbons officiating. Interment will follow in West Newton Cemetery.

A Masonic Funeral Service will be conducted for Brother Podvia on Wednesday at 7:30 PM in the funeral home.
