Harry James Rose, 83, of rural Oglesby, passed away Thursday, August 18, 2022, at his home.
Private services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to the Mueller Funeral Home, Peru.
Mr. Rose was born February 18, 1939, in Peru to Elmer Henry and Louise Mary (Davis) Rose. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served in Korea from 1958-1959. Mr. Rose married Linda Lou Weide on April 22, 1961 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Peru. He had a favorite song, "I Did it My Way" by Frank Sinatra.
He is survived his wife, Linda of rural Oglesby; Donna (Bryce) Wilson, Scot (Aimee) Rose, Sandy (Steven) Safranske, and Harry Jay (Nicole) Rose; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a niece, Debra Reynolds.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Norma Sobkowiak.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Illinois Veterans Home, LaSalle.
