Harry J. Schultz, Jr.
1938-2025
Devoted Husband, Dedicated Father, Loving Grandfather
& Army Veteran
Harry J. Schultz, Jr., age 87, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 6, 2025. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the beloved son of the late Harry Schultz and Mary Schultz (nee McCall) and a former resident of Delran, NJ. Harry was predeceased by his devoted wife of 52 years, Dr. Pauline M. Schultz; his children, Daniel Schultz, Paula Schultz and John Schultz; his parents, Harry and Mary Schultz; and his sister, Mary Ann Marino.
A proud 1955 graduate of Southeast Philadelphia Catholic High School (now Ss. Neumann Goretti Catholic High School), Harry served his country honorably in the United States Army from 1959-1961, when he was stationed in Germany. Following his military service, he attended classes at Philadelphia College of Art, and subsequently won several awards at local art shows for his paintings. Harry went on to enjoy a long and successful 35 year career as a technician with AT&T in the long lines division in Philadelphia, PA. After a short retirement, Harry enjoyed a second career at Sterling Bank in Mount Laurel, NJ, starting as a courier at the bank and rising to the role of Vice President of Purchasing and Facilities before his final retirement after 15 years of service.
Harry's greatest joy was his family. When he was 18, he met his wife, best friend and soulmate, Pauline, while vacationing down the shore in Wildwood, NJ. Their relationship blossomed into a marriage of 52 years. Harry supported Pauline in her practice of medicine in both private practice and as a hospital physician. As they welcomed children into their lives, Harry became a devoted and loving father. Harry was always present at his sons, Paul or Jason's, soccer games, school plays and events or other activities. Harry enjoyed get togethers with family and friends and would always serve as the "grill master" at annual family summer pool parties and barbecues. He loved watching football and baseball, and was a fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and the Phillies.
Harry was a long-time resident and fixture in the Delran, NJ community. He was active in his church, and served as a Eucharist Minister and member of the Adoration Chapel at Resurrection Parish for several years. Harry also used his artistic gifts to repair and restore numerous damaged religious statutes and pieces of artwork for Resurrection Parish over the years, and was involved in the design process for the church's large, stained glass window.
During his final years, Harry enjoyed the company of his caring companion, Monica Weaber, of Berlin, New Jersey.
He is survived by his two loving sons, Paul H. Schultz and his wife Gracielle Schultz of Moorestown, New Jersey and Jason H. Schultz of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; seven cherished grandchildren, Tamia Langford 25, Brandon Schultz 22, Asiana Schultz 9, Jayden Schultz 9, Daniel Schultz 9, William Schultz 6, and Sofia Schultz 4; his sister, Roberta Davis and her husband Donald Davis; and his brother, Joseph Schultz and his wife Nancy Schultz.
Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance on Monday, April 14, 2025 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Givnish of Cinnaminson, 1200 Route 130 North, Cinnaminson, NJ and again on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Resurrection Parish, Holy Name Church Site, 260 Conrow Road, Delran, NJ, where a Mass of Christian Burial will follow.
