Harry Sykes Obituary
Mr. Sykes was a U.S. Air Force veteran and a member of Eastside Baptist Church. He was a retired truck driver. He loved his family, woodworking and tinkering on just about anything.
Mr. Sykes is survived by his son, Robert Sykes and wife Stephanie; daughters, Sherry Wright and husband Terry, Becky Pendergraft and husband Everette; grandchildren, Daniel Wright and wife Jennifer, David Wright and wife Claudia, Stephen Wright and wife Sidney, Caleb Sykes and wife Sarah, Jacob Sykes, Savannah Sykes, Austin Pendergraft, Taylor Pendergraft; great-grandchildren, Seth Wright, Addison Wright; and expecting the third great-grandchild Butterbean; brother, Billy Sykes and wife Diane, David Sykes and wife Pamela, Ken Sykes and wife Lovanda; sisters, Mary Eggers and husband John, Brenda Conway, Catherine Hall and husband Jim, Debra Fields and husband Tim; and special caregivers, Sharon Thomas, Karen Locklear.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 26th at Clements Funeral Chapel in Hillsborough with Pastor Chuck Perkins officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Gospel Baptist Tabernacle Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made to Air Force Enlisted Village in Florida: 92 Sunset Ln, Shalimar, FL 32579.
