Harry Jane Talley

Harry Jane Day Talley, 86, of Morrisville, died Friday, May 31, 2024. Born in Person County, Mrs. Talley was the daughter of the late John Berlie and Virginia May Yarborough Day and wife of the late William Lawrence Talley, Sr. Mrs. Talley was also preceded in death by her son, Berlie Franklin Talley and her brother, John Berlie Day, Jr. Mrs. Talley retired as a grocery cashier and was a member of Ca-Vel Baptist Church. She loved going to the beach and the NC State Fair. She was a phenomenal cook and loved going out with her family. She also like to read and do crossword puzzles. Mrs. Talley faithfully cared for husband throughout his life.
Mrs. Talley is survived by two children, Jenny Talley Dozier and husband Prince, of Morrisville and William Lawrence Talley, Jr. and wife Angie, of Woodstock, VA; one sister, Patsy Lou Williams, of Walnut Cove; five grandchildren, Nathan Talley, Ashley Talley, Sarah Talley, Taylor Carter and Shannan Talley; five great-grandchildren; and her beloved dog Bella. Also she is survived by her very special aunt and cousin, Banna and Bennie Clayton, of Roxboro.
Funeral services will be held 2PM Saturday, June 8, 2024 at Brooks & White Chapel by the Rev. Connie Beth Graddy. Burial will follow in Person Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held 6-7:30PM Friday, June 7, 2024 at the Brooks & White Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Bennie Clayton, 1876 N. Main St., Roxboro.
Pallbearers will be Nathan Talley, Rocky Clayton, Will Paul, Steve Clayton, Jason Allen and Prince Dozier. Honorary pallbearer will be Randall Clayton.
