Lottie Weaver Paschall

Lottie Sue Weaver Paschall, 91, of Durham, died Monday, February 16, 2026 in Riverview, Florida. Born in Person County, Mrs. Paschall was the daughter of the late Fred Lee and Ella Horner Weaver. She was also preceded in death by the love of her life , Jerry F. Paschall Sr, father of her 2 sons and her siblings, Curley Weaver, Sammy Weaver and Verna W. Phillips.

Mrs. Paschall is survived by two sons: Fred Paschall (Jackie), of Little River, SC and Jerry "Jay" Paschall (Glenda), of Riverview, FL; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Being "Grandma P" to these "babies" brought her joy and delight throughout the years.

Lottie's life revolved around "my sons", Fred and Jay and churches that she attended throughout the years. Five Forks Baptist was the church of her parents and their final resting place and now hers. She wanted the best for her sons. She worked hard to make sure Jay graduated from the private Christian school at Fellowship Baptist which was her church home until the late 70's. Afterwards, She moved to Bible Baptist, under the pastorates of Rev. Garland Jacobs and Rev. Greg Allison. She attended there until driving prohibited it. She transitioned to online attendance the past few years as her health permitted.

Mrs. Paschall began her work career with GTE/Verizon HQ accounting in the early 1970's. She retired from GTE/Verizon but began working again, first at Vietri then moved to bookkeeping for Durham County Schools at Holt Elementary in 1989. She retired for the 2nd and final time in 2010. Lottie loved working in her yard and taking care of her home during her retirement years. Up until her health prevented it a few years ago, you could find her mowing, trimming shrubs and cleaning gutters.

The other major love Lottie had was Tommy Cat and Honey Cat Lottie hated leaving Honey Cat, but was so relieved that her Grady Drive neighbors adopted her as their own.

She made an impact on all who knew her. From nurses in the hospital to her assisted living home caretakers these past few months, she made an impression as the spunky "little Lottie ". She was loved and will be missed by us all.

Graveside service will be held at 1PM Thursday, February 26, 2026, at the Five Forks Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Greg Allison, pastor and long-time friend, will be officiating.
