Lovingly known as Buzz and Popa Buzz, he was a proud Vietnam Veteran, dedicated community member, and a deeply devoted family man. Buzz lived a life marked by service, patriotism, and unwavering love. He honorably served his country during the Vietnam War, carrying a lifelong pride in his nation and respect for his fellow service men and women. His love for America was evident in the way he lived – standing for what is right, honoring the flag, and supporting veterans whenever he could.
Following his military service, Buzz built a long career with Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in
Danville, VA. After retirement, you were likely to find him at his favorite store "Ma Barker's" scratching lottery tickets and spending time with friends.
Buzz was an active and respected member of the Blue Knights Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club of VA, where he formed lasting friendships and shared his passion for riding and camaraderie. He was also an active member of the Semora Ruritan Club. Through these organizations, he gave back to his community and exemplified servant leadership.
