Harold Junior Thompson

The family of Mr. Harold Junior Thompson gratefully acknowledges all gestures of sympathy shown during their time of bereavement and loss. May God continue to richly bless each of you.

Mr. Harold Junior Thompson, age eighty-one, departed his earthly life and entered into eternal rest Thursday, January 1, 2026 at Hock Family Pavilion in Durham, North Carolina. He was born in Person County June 3, 1944 to the late Ida Bell Thompson and was a member of Old Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church.

In addition to his mother and grandparents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Earl Junior Thompson.

He leaves to cherish precious memories, his wife of fifty-seven years, Patricia McCain Thompson of the home; children: Tracey Boubacar (Issoufou) of Browns Summit, North Carolina and Kimberly Price (Jenell) of Mount Holly, North Carolina; grandchildren: Khadeeja Boubacar and Teagan Price; one brother, Jimmy Thompson of Charlotte, North Carolina; an aunt, Shirley Thompson of Rocky Mount, Virginia; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving relatives and friends.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 7, 2025 at 1:00pm at the Old Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 1111 Oak Grove Mt. Zion Road, Roxboro, North Carolina with the Reverend Julian Elliot, Associate Minister, providing the eulogy and Bishop Clevie Brandon, Pastor at Compassionate Ministries, Incorporated, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

A public viewing will be Tuesday at Cunningham & Associates Funeral Services from 1:00pm to 6:00pm. His body will lie in state at the church Wednesday from 12:00pm to 1:00pm, one hour prior to the service.
