Dr. Norman Curtis Hall

Dr. Norman Curtis Hall, 89, of Roxboro, passed away on Friday, February 13, 2026 at his home. Born in Person County, he was the son of the late Charles Albert Hall and Addie Josephine Newton Hall. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his eight siblings: Josephine Hall Gentry, Clarence Aubrey Hall, Veronica Hall Long, John Dallas "J.D." Hall, Katie Sue Hall Perkins, Sarah Elizabeth Hall Pennington, Eleanor Inez Hall and Franklin Carlyle Hall.

Born and raised in Person County, he grew up on his family's farm with his parents and his ten siblings. He graduated from the University of North Carolina and later from UNC Dental School. After graduation, he served in the United States Navy in California. Following his military service, he moved back to North Carolina. Shortly after practicing dentistry in Clinton, he moved back to Roxboro and opened his own dental practice, Norman C. Hall, DDS, where he worked until he retired.

Dr. Hall was a former member of the Roxboro Jaycee's and the Roxboro Rotary Club. He had served as a director for Roxboro Savings Bank, where he was on the Board for over 40 years. He also served on the North Carolina State Board of Dental Examiners.

Dr. Hall was an active member of Roxboro Baptist Church, where he served the church and community through various ministries. Dr. Hall was an avid golfer and also enjoyed bowling.

Surviving are his wife, Joyce Vaughan Hall of the home; two children: Beth Hall Lloyd of Raleigh and Kimberly Anne Hall Burchell (Brian) of Orlando, FL; two step-daughters: Kristy Harris Horner (Chad) of Hurdle Mills and Deanna Harris Chambers (Shawn) of Youngsville; two siblings: Barbara Hall Jones of Roxboro and Donald Keith Hall of Greensboro; ten grandchildren: Matthew Lloyd, Brynn Lloyd, Luke Burchell, Addie Burchell, Brianna Burchell, Kate Horner, Collin Horner, Ella Horner, Anna Chambers and Aidan Chambers; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held 2 PM Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at Roxboro Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Moose officiating. A private burial will be held in Clement Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service (1-2 PM).
