Harry Verrette Jr., father; brother, grandfather, and friend passed away peacefully on April 25, 2025, following a brief illness.
Harry was the cherished son of the late Magnolia Leblanc Verrette and Harry Verrette Sr. A proud veteran of the Army National Guard, Harry honored his service with great pride. He was also the proud owner and operator of Electrical Innovators, Inc., a business he built and loved dearly.
Harry had a deep passion for collecting - especially coins - and was known to treasure even the smallest of finds. He was happiest surrounded by his loved ones, whether hosting a cookout, enjoying a spontaneous road trip, or strolling through a flea market. His warm heart and joyful spirit left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
Harry leaves behind a devoted and loving family, including his son, Tony Verrette and his wife Mindy, along with their sons Cody Cagle and Justin Darby (wife Jenee) and great-grandson Jackson; his daughter, Crissy Smith and her husband Brock along with their sons Gavin Parks, Lane Parks, and Dravyn Smith; his fiancée, Marsha Colley; as well as his bonus daughter, Marcie Boudreaux and her husband David, and their children Ava, Buddy and Preston; his bonus son, Thomas Colley and his wife Michelle, and their children Rosemarie, Jack, and Brynne; and great-grandchildren Aubrey, Bradley, and Rider.
He is preceded in death by his parents as well as his sisters, Carol Leger, Luella Verrette, Ann Verrette, and Irene Verrette, and his brother Bobby Lambas.
A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held in Harry's honor on Saturday, May 10, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Our Savior's Church of New Iberia located at 4201 E. Admiral Doyle.
He will be remembered always for his love of family, his generous heart, and the countless memories he created with those he held dear.
