Harvey Edward Bloedow

July 18, 1948 - February 10, 2026

Harvey E. Bloedow, age 77, of Oshkosh, WI, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2026, at St. Luke's Hospital in Milwaukee. He was born on July 18, 1948, in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, to Edward Bloedow Jr. and Bernette (Will) Warmbier. He graduated from Laconia High School in 1966.

Harvey dedicated more than 42 years working as a machinist at Mercury Marine. His strong work ethic and commitment to his craft was reflected in the pride he took with his work.

For most of his life, he helped working on the family farm with his parents. He enjoyed being outdoors, farming/gardening, completing household projects, and tinkering with mechanical items.

On July 16, 1983, Harvey married the love of his life, Barbara Paltzer. Together they shared 42 years of marriage, building a life rooted in love, partnership, and devotion to family.

Family was at the center of Harvey's life. He worked on the family farm as a child through adulthood. Harvey and Barbara raised four children together. He helped to take care of his aging mother until her passing. He loved spending time with his children, but most especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Barb Bloedow; children, Heather Paltzer, Thomas Bloedow, Amanda (Steven) Haverty and Nicholas Bloedow; his grandchildren: Kristopher, Kole, Skylynn, and Amelia.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Edward Bloedow Jr. and Burnette Warmbier; his stepfather, Eugene Warmbier; and extended family.

A funeral service for Harvey will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026, at 11:00 am, at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside, 100 Lake Point Drive. A time of visitation will be held from 9:00am until the start of the service. Interment will take place at Salem Methodist Cemetery in Eldorado.
