Harvey Ray Hopgood was born in Waxahachie, TX on June 29, 1952, and went to be with the Lord on May 23, 2025, at the age of 72.
Anyone that knew Harvey can testify that his work ethic and generosity are unmatched. He would give anyone the shirt off of his back, zero hesitation. He was the most compassionate, loving and selfless human who walked this earth, devoting his life to his family without expectation of receiving anything in return.
Harvey is preceded in death by his parents, Harvey E. Hopgood and Ella L. Hopgood; daughter, Shelina R. Doescher; and sisters, Janice Mathis, Dorothy Eggleston, and Barbara Wilburn.
He is survived by his wife Sharon R. Hopgood; son, Harvey Hopgood, Jr.; son in law, Lane Doescher & wife Sarah; granddaughter, Dalana Shoemaker & husband Brandon; grandsons, Matthew Doescher & wife Alexzandrea, Randy Hopgood & wife Jessica; great grandchildren, Paisley, Jayden, Bryland, Kashtyn, and Brigsdynn; along with numerous extended family and friends.
