Whenever I think of my uncle Harvey, I remember him back in the fifties in his black Oldsmobile "Rocket 88" and how proud he was of it. I share his enthusiasm for fast, fun cars and wish that I could have spent more time with him. I will miss him.
My mother, Harvey's sister Hope, and I send our best wishes to his beautiful family: my aunt Ann and cousins Jessie and Hope.

Mrs. Maker and family, I would likem to pass on my deepest sympathy.
Harvey was my first Lt. after joining the Fire Dept. in 1970 and I grew very fond of him as an officer and a friend.
May the good Lord watch over you and your family through the coming days.

My Aunt Ann, my little cousins Jessie and Hope and her daughters Melanie, Dawn and Joya and cousin LeRoy -
Although I am probably your least communicative relative, I want to express my sympathies to you in the loss of Uncle Harvey.
I have such fond memories of vacations in Richmond with my family. We had wonderful times with Uncle Harvey and Aunt Ann. I can still see Jesse and Hope dancing on the porch at Grandma's house on Richeson Avenue in Richmond. I was always so proud of my uncles Harvey and Cecil. They would take my brothers and I out on great adventures around Richmond with our cousin LeRoy. I cherish those times.
I know that such a loss is very difficult. Please accept my condolences in your time of grief.
My love to all of you.

My dear cousins Jessie and Hope,
Having lost my mother (Harvey's cousin) over 5 years ago, I know how hard it is to lose a parent. You are in my thoughts and prayers as you journey through the part of your life that holds the memories of your father to comfort you and guide you.
Ann,
Mom and Harvey shared many memories of their childhoods in the Jenkins family. I didn't personally know him as well but always include him, and you all, in my remembrances of family.

Mrs. Maker and family, please accept my deepest sympathy and prayers.
Harvey was a good man, Marine and Fireman. I know he was a good Father as he spoke volumes about how good his family was.
I worked with him back in the 1980’s and it was good to sit and hear his stories.
Rest easy now my Brother, you have served your time here, we have it now!

Please accept my deepest sympathies. I had the pleasure of working with Bruce at Fire Station 1 in the 60s. One of the nicest people I have ever met. Always smiling. Godspeed "Daddy."

Mr. Bruce Maker was once my father-in-law and I have always loved him. It was easy to respect him and I was proud of him. He liked my parents and they loved him. I'm sure they're sharing laughter in heaven. My heart goes out to his beloved wife, Ann, whom I also loved. Mr. Maker was a handsome kibitzer who can now play on the golden streets of his Father's kingdom.
