Harvey Renadette Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Red Mountain Funeral Home on Dec. 1, 2025.
Harvey E. Renadette passed away on December 28, 2024 at the age of 78. He was born on December 15, 1946 in Plattsburgh, New York. He taught 7th grade math while residing in upper state New York.
In the late 1970s, Harvey moved to the Phoenix metro area and became an employee of the federal government. Harvey worked for the Internal Revenue Service managing a group of about 20 people in the case processing division. He retired from the IRS with more than 20 years of service.
Harvey loved music and dancing, playing cards, bowling, crossword puzzles and shooting pool. He also loved making furniture and actually built an entire house while in New York. Harvey loved animals, especially cats and dogs. He was raised on a farm and his love of animals started there and continued through the rest of his life. In retirement, Harvey volunteered for an animal rescue with his wife and they also worked from home dog sitting for vacationing clients and helping to groom dogs.
Harvey was very, very devoted to his wife, family and his Catholic faith. Those were the great loves of his life. Harvey's prior devotion to his faith led him to become a Lector, Eucharistic minister and mentor to couples preparing for marriage. He found those things extremely rewarding.
Harvey is survived by his wife of 33 years, Donna (Dee) Renadette, son Todd Renadette, daughter Alicia Renadette and his sisters-in-law Ursula and Marianne Renadette.
Harvey was a man of strong morals. He was an honest man with a strong integrity and compassion for helping others.
He was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2020. In August of 2023, unable to walk, he entered assisted living where is resided there until his death. His wife was by his side.
An intimate ceremony will be hold at Red Mountain Funeral Home in Mesa, Arizona On January, 18 2025 @11am to include a recitation of the Rosary of our Blessed Mother.
After services, a luncheon will be provided at one of Harvey's favorite restaurants, Famous Dave's. The location will be 1011 N Dobson Rd. Mesa. 85201. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Harvey, please visit our Tree Store.
