Hasheley Blaise's Obituary
Hasheley Blaise also known as Katie was the eighth and youngest child of Richard M. Joseph and Mathilde Blaise. She was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti on Wednesday, December 27th, 1989. A few months after her birth, our dad had passed away. She holds no memory of him. On our mother's side, Hasheley was the youngest of us three. After our mom had also left us so soon, we grew up with many relatives who took care of us to the best of their abilities. To God be the glory!
God was merciful and compassionate and brought us to the U.S. Despite all of the obstacles she may have encountered, Hasheley always managed to overcome them in her way.
While working for Florida Power & Light, she also became a Real Estate Agent last year, and that made me very proud of her as she has accomplished all of this through many trials and errors... She was happy when I told her that she made me proud and was now a professional. She said: "This means a lot to me coming from you!"
I loved my little sister, and she loved me just as much. Although we were living away from each other, we always kept in touch. She recently made a WhatsApp group chat called "The Togetherness Tribe," and said that it shouldn't take a social gathering event like a wedding or a funeral for family members to meet each other once a while. She wanted all her siblings to stay in touch daily not knowing that she'd be leaving us so soon. Like all other people, she may have had her flaws, but she was still my little sister. In her free time, she'd go kickboxing. She was outgoing, and she even went sky diving some time ago, something I'd never dare do as I'm afraid of heights. She was outspoken.
Hasheley was not married and had no children. She is survived by her siblings:
Mikelange Lescailes, Helin Joseph, Viergeline Joseph Lifleur, Richard M. Joseph III, Richard M. Joseph II, Phoebe Joseph, and Richard M. Joseph IV.
She also left behind other relatives:
Tanise Blaise, Maryse Fortilus Louis, Guilène Jean-Baptiste, Phanita Aladin, Barbara Blaise, Frantz (Fanfan) Jean-Marie, Mondry Bélinda Jolyfils-Touré, Yanisse Myriam Jolyfils-Touré, Danny Fortilus, Steve Fortilus, Jerry Fortilus, Bianca Ira Fortilus, Vanessa Jean-Baptiste, Farah Jean-Baptiste, Bianca Louis, Gregory Louis, Cachiana Mardy, Fanise, Natacha Florial, Richardson Drouillard, Kennedy & Adam Richard, Inorah, and many more relatives.
Hasheley had already made plans to attend the TW Ministries annual retreat at Stamford, CT that was scheduled the last week of July 2025. However, she could not make it. She made her peace with her God. And I do hope to see her again after Christ Second Coming.
Thank you to all of you who knew Hasheley and came here to celebrate the end of her suffering. She suffers no more!
Special thanks to Pastor Monestime, our Cousin, and to Maranatha's Pastor Dr. Smith Oliver and his staff.
Service will be held Friday, November 28, 2025 at Marantha French Seventh-day Adventist Church, 173-04 Linden Blvd, Jamaica, NY 11434. Service will begin at 10:30am.
