My condolences to her sons, Kevin and Kris.
I meet Hattie when I became president of the West Charlotte Senior High School Athletic Booster Club in 2002. I needed a treasurer and since my son, Korey and Kevin played football together, I decided to reach out to Hattie to ask her to join West Charlotte Senior High School Athletic Booster Club to think of various fundraising ideas to pay for uniforms, etc. to support our coaches and students. I persuaded her to become our treasurer and...

I met Ms. Brevard when her son Kris and my son Jeff wrestled for West Charlotte. I always enjoyed sitting and talking with her at the wrestling matches. My family had a chance to sample some of her good cooking when were invited to Kris' High School graduation cookout. My condolences to the family and may you find peace as she takes her rest beside the" still waters while she dwells in the house of the Lord forever.

Hattie Bell will be truly missed by me too because she was more than just a classmate, she was a best friend. She was in my wedding, our fathers worked together and we talked weekly up until her passing. Both of us have two sons giving us more in common. She would talk about the love she has for both of them not to mention the grandchildren who she adored so much. May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

Ms. Hattie was a very pleasant and kind person. I met her several years ago when she and I did long term assignments as Substitute Teachers. I looked forward to going to work and chatting with her each day. She always talked about her two sons. She shared stories of working with the Band Booster Club at West Charlotte. A few years after meeting her I worked with a young man that was a friend of one of her sin's. He spoke highly of Ms. Hattie.
I am so saddened to hear of her passing. May...

I remember all the wonderful times we shared together. Especially going to Charlotte on the weekends and traveling to Winston Salem to WSSU for Homecoming. I remember Philmore and I visiting you when we would be in Charlotte. The times you were with me at the White Rose Luncheon. You will truly be missed, but not forgotten! Will always keep you in my thoughts. Love you and will miss you.
