In Loving Memory of Hattie Lee Smith Davis Pillau

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and sister and wife. She passed away peacefully in her home in McAlpin, Florida surrounded by her loving Family. She was a woman whose warmth, laughter, and love touched everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her husband: Paul Pillau, three children: Luther Smith (Wendy), George Davis, and April Davis Koonce (Richard); six grandchildren: Lyndsie Pennell, Taylor Koonce, Rachel Koonce, Hunter Koonce, Ashley Davis and four great-grandchildren: Addison Sims, Bryson Pennell, Luke Schlaefer, and Raelynn Green. Her 3 Brothers: George Smith (Bonnie), Roger Smith (Tracy) and Doug Smith (Jeanie). Her 2 sisters: Anita Martin and Joy Simmons and several Nieces and Nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother Ina Faye, her father George Smith, her grandson Dalton Smith, and her brother Richard Hagan.

She had a passion for music (Dolly and Elvis) and loved playing the organ or piano, or enjoying her favorite karaoke hits. Her love for family was unwavering. Her grandchildren were at the top of her list. She cherished and loved every moment spent with each of them.

She was known for her caring nature, her radiant smile that could light up any room, and a laugh that was truly contagious. She loved her family very much.

Her carefree spirit brought joy and comfort to those around her, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who loved her.

She will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love, laughter, and music will remain with us forever.

Services will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, October 3rd at Daniels Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow in Live Oak Cemetery.
