Hattie Washington Obituary

Hattie Mae Washington, 93, of Kingston died Friday December 9, 2022 at her home. Born May 8, 1929 in York, South Carolina she was the daughter of the late Otis and Lily (Barber) Thomason Sr. Hattie was employed with Taconic DDSO for over 20 years. She was a life long active member of the Riverview Missionary Baptist Church. Hattie, enjoyed serving and helping others as well as cooking and gardening. Hattie is survived by her daughters; Dianne Moore and Charlene Washington. Grandchildren; Kwadwo Moore, Mendela Moore, Kajaun Smith and Shafar Smith. Her sisters Shirley Thomason, Jane Cepero and Barbara Thomas. She had many nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her siblings; Geneva Adams, Patricia Jackson and Otis Thomason Jr. Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of the Joseph V. Leahy Funeral Home Inc. 27 Smith Avenue Kingston www.jvleahyfh.com Visitation will be held on Friday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Riverview Baptist Church.
