Haya Weinbaum Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Haya Weinbaum. On Saturday, February 1, 2025, she passed away peacefully at the age of 80. Born March 1,1944, Haya grew up in Israel before meeting her husband, Mark. In 1962, they married and moved to the United States to begin their life together.
Haya will be remembered as an exceptional teacher whose contributions to the Jewish community will forever be appreciated and valued. She was a friend to so many and would come to their needs in a moment's notice. Above all, Haya will be remembered as a devoted and loving wife to Mark; mother to Reli (David) Silver, Gil (Felice) Weinbaum and Sharone (Gary) Morris and grandmother to Allyson, Adam, Eitan, Edina, Lainey, Jaimie and Hallie.
Services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, February 3, 2025, at the Garden of Remembrance Memorial Park Chapel, 14321 Comus Rd., Clarksburg, MD 20871. Shiva will be observed Monday evening at 7 p.m. at the Hebrew Home of Greater Washington in the Wasserman Building, 6121 Montrose Rd., Rockville, MD 20852. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Friends of Magen David Adom (SavingLivesInIsrael.org). Services entrusted to Sagel Bloomfield Danzansky Goldberg.
