Hayzel Vick Jones

Hayzel Vick Jones, a four-year-old animal lover who loved the color purple, went to be with Jesus on Sunday, November 30, 2025. Hayzel-Bug, as she was affectionately known, was born on January 13, 2021, to her momma and daddy, Ted and Karisa (Berry) Jones. Hayzel loved the color purple and any animal she could play with, ride, or show. She would sometimes even collect frogs for her mom to keep an eye on. She showed her pig in the last Ottawa County Fair. Hayzel loved her brothers and sister: Paizlee, Woodrow, and Clancy Jones. Hayzel is also survived by her maternal grandmother Sandra Berry, and great grandmother Cathy Berry, her paternal grandparents, Fawn Henry and her husband Shell and Bill Jones and his wife Natasha, great grandparents Tom and Dana Arnold and Sandra Powell, her aunts and uncles Jennifer Fourier and her husband Carl, Kelsey Berry, Mike Berry and Jessica Berry, Brad and Sarah Jones, Rick and Laci Barton, TJ and April Korb and Cecil and Courtney Jones along with many other cousins and friends.

Visitation for Hayzel will be on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Afton from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Services will be on Friday, 2:00 PM, December 5, 2025, at Afton High School Gym with Reverend Brian Gibson officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, where she will be taken by a horse-drawn hearse. The family that will carry her to her resting place will be Rick Barton, Ricky Barton, Cecil Jones, TJ Korb, Brad Jones, and Chad Jones. Honorary Casketbearers will be Bill Jones and Shell Henry.
