Hazel Allene Janney Overfelt

Hazel Allene Janney Overfelt age 80 of Boones Mill passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at her home. She was born on December 22, 1943 a daughter of the late Dallas Ellis Mosses Janney and Mary Alice Edwards Janney. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Matthew Ellis Janney; her children, Perry Edward Overfelt, and Terry Lynn Overfelt; her former daughter-in-law, Jeana Ann Sheets who is the mother of her grandson, T.J.

She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Edward Eugene Overfelt; her grandson, Terry Lynn "T.J." Overfelt, Jr. (Jess); her great-grandson, Jack; great-granddaughters, Aubree and Ameri Carr and their mother, Kira Overfelt; daughter-in-law, Traci Pipes Overfelt who was like a daughter to her.

Graveside services will be conducted 1:00 PM Thursday, March 7, 2024, in The Underwood Family Cemetery off route 635 and on Allen Road SE, Copper Hill, VA with Pastor Rick Poland officiating. Her family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 to 8 PM at Conner-Bowman Funeral Home.
