Hazel Dover passed away at her home on January 3, 2026.
Hazel was the daughter of Doyle Ballard and Ada Jackson Ballard. She was a devoted mother to Lisa Lee (Clayton Lee) and Tony Steele (Kristi), and the loving mother of Eddie Steele, who preceded her in death and was married to Jeanie, who survives. She shared her children with her first husband, Donald Steele, who preceded her in death, and later remarried to her beloved husband, Marion Dover.
As the eldest of her brothers and sisters, Hazel naturally took on the role of guidance, offering strength, wisdom, and love throughout her life. She was a proud grandmother to Jade, Danielle, Lamar, Clay, and Brent, and a cherished great-grandmother. She is also survived by her sisters and brother, Patsy Collins, Winfred (Joann) Ballard, Genelle Harris and Darlene (Steve) Dixon, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Hazel will be remembered for her kind heart, steady strength, and deep devotion to her family. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered always.
