Hazel Alison Enger, 8, of Fort Madison, passed away at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 30, 2025 at the University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City.

She was born on December 11, 2016 in West Burlington, to Caleb D. and Emily C. Nelson Enger. She loved school and was in Mrs. Hennigar's third grade class at Fort Madison Elementary School. She enjoyed reading, going on ATV rides, watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and being outside for walks in her stroller.

Hazel is survived by her parents, Caleb and Emily Enger of Fort Madison; two sisters, Lydia and Ruby Enger of Fort Madison; her maternal grandparents, Stan and Martha Nelson of Danville; her paternal grandparents: Dan and Jackie Enger of Fort Madison; aunts and uncles Jared and Valerie Wagner, Eric and Katie Nelson, Andrew and TakYee Nelson, Taylor and Rebecca Fraise, Dana Enger, Ashley Enger, Daron and Jolene Enger and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents.

A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on Friday, Dec. 5, 2025 at Harmony Bible Church in Danville. The funeral service will immediately follow at noon with Pastor Chris Carr officiating. A memorial has been established in Hazel's memory. Memorials may be left at the church during the service or sent to her parents: Caleb and Emily Enger, 3356 190th Street, Fort Madison, IA 52627.
