Hazel May Hornbaker Farrow

Hazel May Hornbaker Farrow, 64, of Dry Run, PA, passed away December 14, 2025 in Chambersburg Hospital, Chambersburg, PA.

She was born June 24, 1961, in Williamsport, Maryland, a daughter of Ruby (Speaker) Hornbaker of Clear Spring, Maryland and the late Leo Hornbaker, Sr. She grew up in Clear Spring and graduated from Clear Spring High School in 1979. Prior to moving to Pennsylvania 2 years ago she had lived in other locations including Waynesboro and Blue Ridge Summit, PA and Hagerstown, MD

Hazel had a career in sales and retired from Petersen's Carpet & Flooring in Frederick. She had a loving and outgoing personality. She was an excellent cook and baker and loved her home, the outdoors and pets.

In addition to her mother, Ruby, and her dear friend and companion, Christopher L. Fridley, she is survived by 3 children, Nicole Farrow, Norfolk, VA, Jennifer Hawks, Shippensburg, PA and John Farrow, Jr., Hagerstown, MD, 4 grandchildren, Jamie Ice, Dylan Morse, Camron Farrow and Seanna Peck and 1 great granddaughter, Elaina Morse. Additional survivors include her siblings, brothers Leo "Buck" Hornbaker Jr., Hagerstown, MD, and David Hornbaker (Barbara) Clear Spring, MD, and sisters, Reba McCusker (Dale), Hancock, MD, Doris McClain (Sonny), Hedgesville, WV and Patricia Shirley (Alan), Clear Spring, MD and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Wilhelm.
