Hazel L. Fewell

Hazel L. Fewell, 98, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday morning, November 9, 2025. She was a long time resident of Greenwood.

She was born October 15, 1927 in Monroe County, IN to Lawrence E. Norman and Maude E. Blackwell Norman. She married Robert Roy Fewell on April 15, 1950. She is survived by her daughter, Janet Matthews of Greenwood; granddaughter, Misty (Mark) Pruitt; four great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.

Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Robert Fewell, on May 8, 1982; brother, Cecil L. Norman, and sister, Helen Wray.

She was a long time hairdresser with her husband at Fewell Beauty Shop on Main Street in Greenwood, till she retired in 1986. She later enjoyed a twenty-five year career as a greeter and hairdresser for Wilson St.Pierre Funeral Service.

Hazel was a long time member of Gospel Assembly Church in Indianapolis.

Visitation will be from 4-7PM, Tuesday, November 11, at Wilson St.Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Greenwood Chapel, 481 W. Main Street. Rev. Cullen Reed and Rev. Roger Stevenson will officiate a funeral service at 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, November 12, at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Greenwood Cemetery.
