Evangelist Hazel J. Hamrick- Lee

Evangelist Hazel J. Hamrick-Lee was born on June 29, 1934, in Rutherford, North Carolina, to James McEntyre and Emma Stroud.
She resided in Paterson, New Jersey, for most of her life.
Evangelist Hamrick-Lee received her education through the public schools of North Carolina, but later obtained her diploma from John F. Kennedy High School. For over fifty years, she dedicatedly served the Joseph family of Ridgewood, New Jersey, working as a housekeeper and nanny. Her hardworking and resilient nature left a lasting impression on those she served.
In 1975, she devoted her life to Christ and lived a life committed to her faith. She introduced and instilled the love of Christ in her children and grandchildren, and her home was a place of spiritual guidance and worship. Even if she couldn't make it to Sunday service, her family would gather in the living room for anointed praise and worship. Evangelist Hamrick-Lee ensured that her grandchildren attended various religious activities, including Wednesday bible study, family prayer, vacation bible school, usher and choir rehearsal, and church services. Her dedication to God's work was unwavering. She pursued her ministry under Pastor Crocadile and became an Evangelist. Evangelist Hamrick-Lee had the opportunity to spread love and the word of God in various churches until she found her home at Christian Fellowship Church (CFC) in Paterson, New Jersey, where Pastor Joel Rudolph ordained her. She remained an active member of CFC until she fell ill.
On Sunday, July 23, 2023, she departed peacefully at Preakness Healthcare Center, surrounded by her family.
Evangelist Hamrick-Lee was preceded in death by six siblings: Peggy Rollins (McEntyre), Jack McEntyre, Robert McEntyre, Donald R. McEntyre, Charles McEntyre, and Meg McEntyre. She also lost three children: Debra Ann McClam (Hamrick), Darrel Archie Hamrick, Steve Michael (Hamrick) and one special granddaughter Shadeen Quashiba Wright. May her memory be cherished, and her legacy of faith and love be remembered by all whose lives she touched.
Evangelist Hamrick-Lee is survived by her devoted husband, Ralph Lee, one sister, Martha K. Belton (McEntyre), three children: Ricky, Dean Hamrick (fiancé Vivian Wright), Betty Caroline Hamrick (fiancé Phillip Dixon), and Patricia Annette Anderson (Hamrick). She is also survived by three stepchildren: Ralph Lee, Jr., Lisa Lee, and Lynn Lee; 9 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; as well as 20 step-grandchildren and 15 step-great-grandchildren. Additionally, she leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and neighbors.
