Hazel R. Hlavaty

Hazel R. Hlavaty, 78, of Streator, IL formerly of Aurora, IL, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on May 3, 2025. She was born on September 12, 1946, in Chicago, Il. Hazel was a beloved mother and grandmother who opened her heart and home to all who needed comfort and companionship. She had a quick wit and always had a clever comeback. Above all things she loved being a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by her children; Tommie, Tanya, and Timmie (Ann) Glass; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Theresa (the late Mike) Watson and brother, Donnie Fifelski. She is preceded in death by her siblings, Rosemary Thomas and Mike Hlavaty. Family will be receiving guests on Friday, May 16, 2025 from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM at Dieterle Memorial Home. Interment will be private.
