Hazel Elizabeth "Betty" Ward Kolb, 92, widow of Warren Burgess Kolb, died Thursday, July 31, 2025, at her home. Born February 21, 1933, she was a daughter of the late W. Estridge Ward and Mabel Felkel Ward. Surviving are three sons, Robert W. Kolb, Patrick H. Kolb (Lisa) and Kenneth A. Kolb (Michelle); three daughters, Elizabeth A. Hancock (Don), Terry J. Kolb and Gwen L. Josey (Luke); nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, W. E. Ward, Jr. Robert W. Ward and one sister, Evelyn W. Reynolds. Funeral Services will be held at 1 P.M. Sunday in the Chapel of the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with Rev. Sammy Geddings officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the home, 2169 Pinewood Road. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060.
