Hazel McCline Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Noble & Kelsey Funeral Home, Inc. - Salisbury on Mar. 26, 2025.
Mrs. Hazel Lee Williams McCline, age 89, transitioned peacefully at her home on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, surrounded by love.
Born on February 14, 1936, in Lake County, Florida, Hazel was the beloved daughter of the late James Williams and Blanche McCoy Williams. A Valentine's Day baby, she carried a heart full of love, resilience, and quiet strength throughout her life.
Mrs. McCline was educated in the Lake County Public Schools and devoted the majority of her life to nurturing and caring for her children. A true matriarch, she found joy in the simple but sacred duty of raising her family. She also worked for a time as a janitor at North Rowan Middle School, where her quiet dedication and work ethic left a lasting impression.
A woman of faith, Mrs. Hazel was a devoted member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, where she found spiritual nourishment and community.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar McCline; her parents; and her siblings, James Williams, Cleveland Williams, and Ethel Mae Williams.
Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who loved her dearly: her children, Harry Donnell Freeman of New Jersey; Jacqueline Williams of Spencer; Kenneth Freeman of Maryland; Keith Freeman, Victor Freeman, and Marilyn Taylor (Kevin), all of Salisbury; Tyrone Freeman (Shona) of New Jersey; Sandra Lee Freeman of Florida; Malcolm Freeman (Shannon) of Virginia; and Eric Freeman of New Jersey.
She was a proud and loving grandmother to 23 grandchildren and 51 great-grandchildren, each one a testament to her legacy of love. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.
Mrs. Hazel Lee Williams McCline lived a full life marked by devotion, grace, and quiet impact. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on through the lives she shaped and the love she gave so freely.
