Obituary of Hazel L. Rush
Hazel Louise Rush, 73, of Glenns Ferry, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2023 in Boise, Idaho. Her family was at her side. Funeral Service will be held at the VFW Hall #3646 in Glenns Ferry on Friday, February 17, 2023 at 11:00 A.M.. Burial will follow at Glenn Rest Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.
Hazel was born October 16, 1949, in Boise, Idaho, to Oral Harvey Irving and Lois Jean Kreizenbeck. She was the next to youngest daughter of Oral and Lois with two older half-brothers (Art and Cecil) and two half-sisters (Jackie and Carol). The family had settled in Glenns Ferry where her father worked for Union Pacific railroad and her mother worked at a local diner. Hazel graduated from Glenns Ferry High School in 1968.
In 1977 Hazel was married to Harley Crawshaw, with that marriage Hazel gained 4 additional children William, Brian, Connie, and Sam. During their union Harley and Hazel welcomed a beautiful baby girl Valerie Jean Crawshaw, however, Valerie was born with a heart condition which took her from us just after two years.
In 1988 Hazel met the love of her life David Joe Rush, they were married September 18, 1991. In this union Hazel once again gained kids Tina, Gina, and David Lee. Dave and Hazel spent a wonderful 34 years together, enjoying family, friends and vacationing in Mexico. Hazel loved playing cards, reading, knitting, crafts, playing pool, and camping with family.
Hazel worked many jobs throughout her life, waitress, school bus driver, spud truck driver, long haul semi-truck driver, grocery clerk, bar tender, and Production Control Manager at Idaho Circuit Technology.
Hazel was preceded in death by her daughter Valerie Jean, her parents, one half-sister, one half-brother and two grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Dave, son Albert Crawshaw (Jeaneen), stepdaughter Tina Baird (Kim), stepdaughter Gina Panda (Darin), stepson David Lee Rush, sister Betty Shurtz and brother Art Irving. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
