Hazel Lovella Smith Calhoun, 103, of Oak Hill, West Virginia died peacefully in her sleep Tuesday night.
A resident of Caretta, West Virginia for over 40 years, Hazel was a graduate of Big Creek High School and Marion College. She was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church in War, West Virginia and Calvary Baptist Church in Oak Hill.
Hazel was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Calhoun, and her nine siblings.
She is survived by her son, Lynn Calhoun, and his wife, Kathy, of Oak Hill; her granddaughter, Mallory Calhoun, of New York, New York; and her grandson, Jonathan Calhoun, of Charleston, West Virginia.
A memorial service will be conducted at Grandview Memory Gardens 38659 Gov. George C. Peery Hwy Bluefield, Virginia 24605 on Monday, December 16, 2024 at 1:00 PM with burial to follow.
Visitation for friends will be one hour prior to service at Grandview Memory Gardens.
