Hazel Grace Starr, 92, of Wooster, passed away November 20, 2025 at Sycamore Run Nursing Home in Millersburg.
Hazel was born May 7, 1933 in Akron to H. Wayne and Grace M. (Adamson) Allman. She married Donald Starr on May 25, 1979, he passed away May 7, 2022.
Hazel was a Registered Nurse for Hocking County Community Hospital for eight years. She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ where she was a member of the Dorcas Circle. Hazel was a member of Chapter 119 Order of the Eastern Star in St. Mary Ohio, and WIMODUSIS.
Hazel will be deeply missed by her step-children Kathy (Robert) Atwell of Mount Vernon, Jennifer (Keith) Edwards of Shreve, and Philip (Caren) Starr of Wooster; 4 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren; sister Norma Jean Schroer of New Knoxville, and sister-in-law Sue Allman of Plano, TX.
Hazel was preceded in death by her husband Don, brother Jim Allman, and a brother-in-law John Schroer.
An Eastern Star service will be Monday, December 1 at 10 am at Trinity United Church of Christ. Friends may call from 10:30 until the Celebration of Life service at 11:30 am at the church (and livestreamed at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com/obituaries/Hazel-Starr) with Rev. Dr. Kevan Franklin officiating. Burial will be at Wooster Cemetery. Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster is assisting with arrangements.
