Hazel Torio Obituary

Hazel was born April 29, 1938 in Buncombe County to the late Clarence and Claire Morris. She worked for the State of NC for over 20 years and retired from the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Treatment Center. She previously attended Cherry Springs Baptist Church. Hazel was a thoughtful, giving and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend who will be greatly missed.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by the father of her sons, Jimmy Mack Reese; son, Richard Morris Reese; sister, Edith Allen; and brother-in-law, Alvin Clark.
Left to cherish her memory is her son, J. Michael Reese (Zarella Ore); grandchildren, Brandon Reese, Samantha Carroll, and Yexalen Ore; great grandchildren, Amelia and Maverick Carroll; sister, Barbara Clark; brother-in-law, Jimmy Allen; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family will receive friends Thursday, February 23, 2023 from 4:00 to 6:00pm at Harwood Home for Funerals and Cremation Services.
