Hazel Leona (Tonie) Weirick, 92, of Wooster, died Sunday, December 24, 2023 at The Avenue at Wooster.
Hazel was born April 30, 1931 in Sardis, Ohio to Albert and Hazel {Leggett} Stewart.
She married Wallace Weirick on October 16, 1953. He died previously.
Hazel worked for United Telephone and Visiting Nurses. She was a member of the First Church of God. She was a member of the Seahorse Diving Team and enjoyed horseback riding.
Hazel will be deeply missed by her children Nelson (Jolene) Weirick, Victoria (John) Noble, Christal (Ron) Fetzer all of Wooster and Wallace (Janice) Weirick of South Carolina; 11 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.
Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, husband and son Myron Ralph Weirick, brothers Curtis “Dale” and James Stewart, and sisters Genevieve Williams and Ruth Rowe.
Friends may call Thursday December 28, 2023 from 11 to 1 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Funeral services will follow at 1 pm at the funeral home (and livestreamed at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com/obituaries/Hazel-Weirick) with Jeff Franks officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ohio’s LifeCare Hospice 1900 Akron Road, Wooster, OH.
