Heather Patricia Schenk was born at University Hospital in Mineapolis to Dean and Patricia Schenk on June 17, 1978. Her journey through life was one filled with love, laughter, and unyielding spirit. She grew up in Mountain Lake, where she was baptized at American Lutheran Church in Windom and attended elementary school in Mountain Lake. In 1986, the family moved to Sauk Rapids, where she was confirmed at Celebration Lutheran Church in Sartell. A proud graduate of Sauk Rapids-Rice High School's class of 1996, Heather pursued further education at St. Cloud State and Rasmussen Business College, earning an associate degree in Criminal Justice.
On October 30, 2021, she celebrated a union with her husband, Jerry Adolph, in Las Vegas, Nevada, bringing their love story full circle with a joyous celebration in 2022, surrounded by cherished family and friends in Kimball. Heather's greatest joy came from being a mother and grandmother. She poured her heart into her children-Jade, Isabella, Alexander, and Vincent-creating a rich tapestry of memories filled with laughter, homemade treats, and family gatherings. Baking, reading, or diving into social media rabbit holes brought her simple pleasures, but nothing compared to the love she felt while embracing her "mom" role.
Throughout her life, Heather faced and overcame many challenges, demonstrating incredible resilience and strength. Her soulful nature, willingness to lend a listening ear, and capacity for compassion touched everyone around her, reminding us all of the beauty of human connection. In the spirit of Heather's life, let us cherish our families, create memories, and honor her legacy by embodying the same joy and kindness she so freely gave.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry; children, Isabella (Michael) Fitzgerald of South Haven, Alexander Cromwell (Steph Derks) of Ramsey, Vincent (Kiera) Cromwell of Buffalo, and Jade Adolph of Kimball; grandchildren, MJ and Lincoln Fitzgerald; mother, Patty Kapphahn of Kimball; brother, Kurt (Holly) Alferness of Apple Valley; twin sisters, AnneMarie (Chris) Vannurden of Rice and Liz (Scott) Kiffmeyer of Sauk Rapids; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ray and Ada Adolph of Kimball; nephews and niece, Andrew (Brooke) Vannurden, Luke Vannurden (godson), Rees Vannurden, Benett Kiffmeyer, Reid Kiffmeyer, Maddy Alferness, and Theodore Adolph; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Dean Schenk; uncles, Michael and James Kapphahn; aunt, Mavis Schenk; and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Robert and Beverly Adolph.
