Heather Brittenham-Thomas, born March 19, 1974, peacefully passed away on June 24, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. She was born to Charles and Debra Brittenham in Haskell and baptized at First Baptist Church in Haskell in 1982. Heather grew up with her siblings Jeremy (Travis) Brittenham and Charlie (Mandy) Brittenham.
Heather dedicated herself to a career in oral surgery after graduating from dental assisting school, amassing over 28 years of service in the field. She was deeply committed to her work and cherished by colleagues at every step. She leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication through her family.
Heather is survived by her parents Charles and Debbie, brothers Jeremy (Travis) and Charlie (Mandy), beloved husband Kermit Thomas, daughters Laccie Thomas and Hailey Bledsoe-Mayfield, son-in-love Brian Mayfield, and niece Falyn (Hunter) Telford. She was the proud GiGi to Kamden and Kruz Mayfield, Tre, Violet, and Da Montre, and a cherished bonus mother to Kermit, Kerisha, Kenneth, Miguel, Tamara, and Keondra. She is also survived by aunts Geraldine, Betty, and Marie, her bestie Ashley Bowden, and many cousins, friends, and relatives who will miss her dearly.
Heather was preceded in death by her grandparents Bill and Naomi Woodard, Carl Brittenham, and Laccie Ginn, as well as her grandson Brian Landon Mayfield Jr., bonus son Reuben Thomas, and aunt Freda Brittenham.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to Dr. Cannon and her work family for their unwavering support during Heather's battle.
