Heather LaLiberte Obituary

Heather Ann (Harris) LaLiberte, 66, of Enfield, passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at Hartford Hospital. Born in Claremont, NH on June 2, 1959, she was the daughter of the late Norman and Beverly (Landry) Harris and grew up in New Hampshire and Enfield.

Heather had been fighting very hard to overcome serious health issues since September. On November 17th, she and her beloved husband, Harold, would have celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary. As heartbroken as her family is by her passing, they take comfort in the love and commitment she and Harold shared. Without a doubt, he was with her in spirit on November 19th to help guide her on her next journey.

Heather loved the simple things in life. She cherished spending time with her children and grandchildren above all else. Some of her favorite pastimes included playing Bingo, watching Hallmark movies, and taking long drives. She also enjoyed arts and crafts-painting suncatchers, creating perler bead art, and designing the elaborate birthday cakes she took pride in decorating.

She loved parties, bonfires, and celebrating the holidays with those she loved. And it must be noted-her favorite food was lobster.

Most importantly, the happiness of children brought Heather true joy. Over the years she was involved with the PTO, participating in school book fairs and holiday craft parties. She served as a CCD teacher for 15 years and volunteered at the Holy Family Church fair, proudly overseeing the children's games area. Heather also donated faithfully to St. Jude’s for decades, long before facing her own cancer diagnoses in 2020 and again in 2024. When she was afraid to begin chemotherapy, she often said it was the strength of the children and their families-those who faced similar struggles-that gave her the courage to continue.

Heather loved to see kids simply being kids. She believed children deserved to be heard just as much as they are seen. She had many children in her life whom she adored. For anyone debating whether to bring their children to her services, please know that their presence would be an honor. Heather would have considered any interruption from a child a blessing and a reminder of the joy she held in her heart.

She also expressed many times that she hoped guests would dress in colors for her services, and she always carried a "come as you are" attitude.

Heather was predeceased by her beloved husband, Harold "Harry" LaLiberte; her sister, Erica Harris; and her nephew, Thomas Harris. She is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth Reidy and her husband, Christopher, and Olivia Jones and her husband, Michael; her cherished grandchildren, Aiden, Ashlynn, and Eleanor Borek; Lorelei Reidy; and one expected grandchild on the way. She is also survived by her siblings, Melba Harris, Tamra Sheehan (Rob), Normandie Harris, Tracy Harris, Kevin Harris (Annette), and Kerry Harris (Anna); as well as many nieces and nephews.

Her family will receive friends on Sunday, December 7, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm with a funeral home service taking place at 2:00 pm. Burial will be held privately.
