Brenda Lou Lemieux, of Tolland, CT passed away unexpectedly at the age of 60. She was born in Manchester, CT on January 19, 1965 to Richard and Joan (Foss) Kurtz. She was a graduate of Ellington High School class of 83'. Brenda was predeceased by her beloved husband and best friend of 30 years, Michael Lemieux.

Brenda was like no one you'd ever met or will ever meet again. She approached every moment as a new start, a fresh beginning, her "new day" was a chance to live her life heart and soul first. She had this amazing ability to have everyone around her feel cherished, loved and understood. Her life was a testament to quiet strength, compassion and resilience. Brenda lived life to the fullest, always finding ways to touch as many lives as possible. Whether those lives were in human form, living in nature or gathering in her backyard sanctuary. She poured her heart and soul into her home and if you were lucky enough she'd share a video for all to see. Her kindness was sensed in wildlife, who eagerly approached her soft voice and warm heart, even taking food right out of her hands. Called to nature Brenda loved spending most of her time outdoors. She was happiest near the water's edge, fishing pole in hand. For her, the river was not just a retreat but a sanctuary where she connected with life's simple but profound beauty. She shared that passion with her husband, her best friend, her world until he became her angel in 2014. You could find them both enjoying their dream home they built by hand in beautiful Stafford Springs for 13 cherished years. Brenda loved music, especially the blues. She was never without her tunes cranked up loud. She lived every note, felt every harmony and matched every beat. To know her was to love her. Brenda's friendships were lifelong and cherished. She always made time and called when she could. A beacon of light and unwavering strength. Brenda, your presence was a gift to this world. Truly loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.

She leaves behind her siblings, sister, Donna Turnbull of Agawam, MA, brother, Steven Kurtz of Suffield, CT, sister, Cheryl Spurr of Roanoke, VA. Brenda is survived by her stepdaughter, Jennifer Kent and granddaughters Sydney and Savannah of Bradenton, FL, sister-in-law, Rejeanne Lukach and her husband, George of Broadbrook, CT, three brother-in laws, Marcel Lemieux and his wife, Kathy of South Windsor, CT, John Lemieux and his wife, Alyson of Stafford, CT, Richard Lemieux and his wife, Lynn of Enfield, CT, sister-in-law Sandra Lemieux of Ellington, CT, nephew, Ryan Lemieux and his wife Dayna of Vernon, CT, nephew, Christopher Lemieux and his wife Rebecca of Harleyville, PA, nephew, Derrick Turnbull of Agawam, MA and her best friend and partner in crime, her niece, Katie Coffin of Suffield, CT.
