Heather Dawn Mitchell

Heather Dawn Mitchell, age 44, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, passed from this life on November 5, 2025. She was born on June 4, 1981, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Carl Mitchell and Debbie Burgess.
Heather was a bright and loving soul. Though she faced many struggles, she still found joy in life. She loved to play board games and games on her tablet, and enjoyed listening to music, especially country music. But her greatest joy in life was making others laugh.
She is survived by her aunt Nita Bynum of Northwest Arkansas, aunt Patty (Larry) Scott of Denton, Texas, uncle Jay Akin of Yukon, Oklahoma, cousins Kaye (J.D.) Wheelis of Round Rock, Texas, Kathy Bynum of Northwest Arkansas, Amy (Grant) Melhorn of North Lake, Texas, Chelsea Gastelum of Decatur, Texas, Jeananne Logan of Eureka Springs, Arkansas, Samantha Crawley of Northwest Arkansas, Christian, Claire, and Preston Melhorn of North Lake, Texas, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, and a host of other family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Carl Mitchell and Debbie Burgess, grandparents Neal and Fannie Mitchell, and Charlie and Janelle Akin.
A graveside service for Heather will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 2 p.m. at the Pilot Prairie Cemetery in Waldron, Arkansas with Bro. Ken Johnson officiating.
Honorary pallbearers will be the staff and residents of the Woodcrest Living Center.
