Our Dear Beautiful and Beloved Heddy is a Beacon of Joy Light and Happiness! Her love was genuine and pure! She truly loved her family! I enjoyed the many Sunday afternoons at Momma Boyd´s especially the days she made her famous Mac and cheese!
Whenever I talked to her I felt like I needed all of the advice and encouragement she gave me! She was such a brilliant free spirit and would give you the truth and make you laugh no matter what was going on. Her positive energy and loving personality was always present and I am truly grateful that God blessed me to have her in my life and family! I cherish and love all the memories made by our Sister Heddy

I've known Heddy since first grade at Herzl Elementary School. We both lived across the street from the school; she lived on the east side of the school and I lived on the north side of the school. Heddy and I shared many childhood memories from the school playground, to getting in and out of trouble in the classroom. Heddy and I were in a friendly competition in the classroom academically. She always lead the way with better grades. I like to think I pushed her and she inspired me. We graduated eight grade from Hess UGC with the same academic GPA. We separated for high school because her parents moved to the south side. However, our friendship remained and we stayed connected via phone calls, cards and mail. We lost touch later in our adult lives as we were about to retire.
I always reached out to wish her Happy Birthday. It was easy for me to remember because Heddy was three days older than me. In school, I was jealous because we always got out of school for her birthday and never for mine. During our time, CPS celebrated Lincoln's birthday which was the same as Heddy's. It was on what would be her 75th birthday that I found out my friend had passed. I was devastated to say the least. Rest Easy my friend...You'll forever be in my heart.

I remember, in 7 th grade, Juretha and I rode our bikes, I used to ride my bike to Juretha´s house and used think, wow Juretha´s sister is so beautiful!!

Heddy and I were classmates at Calumet High School (Class of '68). Heddy was such a nice person, great to talk to. She was very private, so friendly. We didn't stay in contact after graduation, but I always remember her for her great personality. Continued prayers of condolences to her family.

My dearest darling sister, Heddy is so very missed. It is difficult posting at this moment. She transitioned on my birthday over a year ago. I visit our family home often in Starkville Ms and feel her precious energy. Love you, Darling Sister, Heddy....until we meet again. Lovingly, Rita!
