Heidelore “Heidi” Gianneski Obituary

Heidelore Elisabeth "Heidi" Gianneski, 85, of Butler, passed away Saturday, Oct. 25, 2025, at Concordia at Cabot with her loving family at her side.
Born March 25, 1940, in Wurzburg, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Markus Kempf and Elisabeth "Elsa" Brand Kempf.
Prior to migrating to the United States, she was a talented seamstress in Germany. Upon arrival to the United States in the early 1960s, she taught herself English and was especially proud to become a citizen of the United States in the late '60s.
She was a self-employed professional housekeeper. She was loved by those she worked for. She did not consider them as employers, but rather close friends and family. They loved her for her genuine spirit and honesty.
Heidi was a member of All Saints Parish, St. Paul Roman Catholic Church. She volunteered in the child care ministry at St. Paul. She liked to sew, knit, garden and she enjoyed word search puzzles. She was incredibly smart, great with numbers, never forgot a birthday and took pride in her frugalness. She enjoyed spending time with her children and their friends. Most of all, she adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she bragged about every chance she had.
She was well known in the community for her hard work, kindness, short stature, thick German accent and sense of humor. Many referred to Heidi as an angel on earth. She was truly one of a kind and will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving her.
She is survived by three children, Helen E. Johnson, of Butler, Ida R. Hague and her husband, Mark, of Portersville, and Ronnie E. Gianneski and his wife, Colleen, of Butler; two brothers, Berthold Kempf, in Germany, and Harold Kempf and his wife, Karin, also in Germany.
She is also survived by six grandchildren, Scott Johnson, Melissa Oravec and her husband, John, Robert Hague, Eric Hague, Erin Gianneski and Maxwell Gianneski; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Martin "Ron" Gianneski, who passed away July 21, 1984; and two brothers, Roland and Heinz Kempf.
GIANNESKI - Friends of Heidelore Elisabeth "Heidi" Gianneski, who died Saturday, Oct. 25, 2025, will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, at MARTIN FUNERAL HOME SOUTH SIDE, 429 Center Ave., Butler.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 31, at All Saints Parish, St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St., Butler, with the Rev. Phil White, OFM Cap., officiating.
Burial will take place in St. Michael Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Heidi Gianneski to All Saints Parish, 128 N. McKean St., Butler, PA 16001. Note "Community Meal Ministry" in the memo line on the check.
