I was a friend of Jim's in college, and he brought a date to my apartment in 1967 on his motorcycle that wound up being my wife for 52 years and counting! He was a great friend and I am very sorry to hear of his passing.

My heart aches for the pain of your loss. I am so sorry for the challenges your family has faced. Jim was a very special person....wonderful husband to Darla and wonderful Dad to Sarah, Wes, Doug, and Tyler. When he was your friend, he was a friend for life! We spent some wonderful times with our families when all of our kids were younger. He was bigger than life, kind, generous, and had a fantastic sense of humor. He had a big heart for all! I can't imagine the void all of you feel at this time. I'm sure that he and Sarah are together in Heaven, smiling down on all the people they loved.
