Heidi Mary Johnson

Johnson, Heidi Mary, 57, Gainesville, Va. was welcomed into the Peace and Joy of God's kingdom, surrounded by her family on Thursday, November 13, 2025.

Heidi was born November 5, 1968 to Eugene and Beverly (Kisieleski) Decker. She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Daniel Valent Johnson, sons and spouses, Daniel Valent, Jr. (Emily) and Bryce Joseph (James) and their precious chihuahua and loyal companion, Tank. Heidi was a wonderful sister to Eugene (Stacy), Angela (Bob) and David (Jennifer), brother-in-law Jerry (Sandy), mother-in-law Rose and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her brother, Joseph Decker and father-in-law, Jerry Johnson.

Heidi was a 1986 graduate of Lake Braddock High School. She was a devoted wife and mother, a fabulous cook and gardener, and for many years she lovingly managed a day care in her home. She was a friend to everyone and enjoyed planning and hosting holiday parties. Her light will shine bright in all who knew and loved her.

Services will be held at the Fairfax Memorial Funeral Home, 9902 Braddock Road, Fairfax, VA 22032 with a visitation from 9-10 AM on Saturday, November 22, with a Memorial service to follow from 10-11am.

Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of Heidi at the family home immediately following the services at 11:30AM.
