Heidi B. Sympson

North Lima--It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Heidi Sympson, 56, a beloved wife, devoted mother, cherished daughter, and incredible sister. Heidi passed away peacefully on July 8, 2025 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Born on April 23, 1969, Heidi dedicated more than 30 years of her life to caring for others as a registered nurse. She spent the majority of her career at The Surgical Hospital at Southwoods, where she formed lifelong friendships that became like family. Her compassionate spirit and unwavering dedication touched countless lives throughout her career.
Heidi was the loving wife of Ken and an adoring mother to her two sons, Ryan and Justin. Her family was the center of her world, and she found immense joy in supporting her boys in all their endeavors. She also shared a special bond with her sisters, Kristen Kidd and Richelle Keleman (Chris), and her mother, Sally Kidd - all of whom survive her. Heidi will also always be remembered lovingly by her brother/sister in-laws many nieces and nephews as well as multiple aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
Beyond her devotion to family and profession, Heidi lived life with a joyful heart. A true fashionista, she had a passion for shopping and especially loved weekend trips - near or far - with her mom and sisters. She was especially fond of Christmas and took great joy in collecting Christopher Radko ornaments, a treasured family tradition. Heidi also loved spending quiet time with Ken; together, they spent countless hours watching the PGA Tour, sharing laughs and memories. Throughout their wonderful marriage of almost 33 years, Ken was Heidi's rock and constant source of strength. Without question, he stood faithfully by her side. Our family will forever be grateful for the husband he was to her.
Heidi's resilience, warmth, and infectious laugh will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
The family will receive family and friends on Saturday, July 12, from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Avenue in Boardman. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 13, at 10 a.m at the same location.
