Helen Arcand Obituary

She was born on September 9, 1929, in Rockford, Illinois, daughter of the late Thelma Kublie. Helen grew up and attended school in Rockford. She married John Arcand in 1954. He preceded her in death on December 16, 1976.
Helen volunteered at many organizations in Crystal Falls and Alpha, Mich. She served coffee at the senior citizen center and marched in the parades for the V.F.W. and was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary. Helen loved to plant flowers around Crystal Falls and also helped with putting on meals. She was a member of the Lutheran Church of Crystal Falls from 1971 until 2016, when she moved to Norway, Mich.
Survivors include her four sons, Jim (Nancy) Lillis, Mike (Donna) Arcand, Joe (Kay) Arcand and Bernard (Camila) Arcand; three daughters, Thelma (Derrick) Carlson, Kathy (Bill) Rouse and Anita (David) Senger; seventeen grandchildren, Jason, Devon, Cori, David, Andy, Beth, Danielle, John, Victoria, Justin, Sarajo, Zayn, Nick, Kimberly, Ivory Sue, Jennifer and Kyle; twenty great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, John, Helen was preceded in death by one daughter, Char Broswabic.
In accordance with Helen's wishes, a lunch and pie social will be held April 5, 2025 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Evangelical Covenant Church. 120 O'Dill Drive, Norway, MI 49870
