Helen Marie Childress age 99, of Liberty, KY, passed away on Thursday August 28th, 2025, at the Jean Waddle Care Center. She was born in Pulaski Co., KY on December 18th, 1925, to the late Chester and Molly Eads Price.

Helen was the widow of Roy Junior Childress.

Helen was a housewife.

Survivors include: six children: Larry and (Helen) Childress of Somerset, Jim Childress of Liberty, Steve and (Rosey) Childress of Madison, IN, Charles and (Regina) Childress of Liberty, Nancy and (Ronnie) Elliott of Yosemite and Kevin and (the late Ronda) Childress of Liberty, one daughter in law: Kim Childress, one son in law: Dean Poore, fourteen grandchildren, forty great grandchildren, twenty three great great grandchildren and one sister: Ghree York of Nancy, KY.

Preceding her in death besides her parents and spouse was one son Johnny Childress, one daughter: Mary Childress Poore, one sister: Anna Brown and one brother: Herman Price.

Visitation will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday September 2nd, 2025, at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be held 12:00 Noon Tuesday September 2nd, 2025, at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Johnny Maupin officiating. Burial will be in the Mill Springs National Cemetery.
