Helen C. Cowper

Helen C. Cowper, 83, of Surf City passed away at her home on September 30, 2022. Lynne was born in Camden and raised in Merchantville, NJ. She was formerly of Westchester, PA, where she raised her children and resided in Surf City since 2009. She enjoyed Long Beach Island since she was a child and continued to make those memories with her children. She worked as a realtor for Weichert Realty in Exton, PA for 25 years and raised her granddaughter, Kate. She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Exton, PA and Holy Innocents Episcopal Church in Beach Haven, NJ. Lynne was a member of the Surf City Yacht Club Ladies' Fun Sailing and Ladies Auxiliary, where she served as Past President. She also ran the Ship Store. She was a good painter, pottery maker and seamstress and never turned down an opportunity to go shopping.
Predeceased by her brother, Louis Soistman, Lynne is survived by her husband of 61 years, William R. Cowper, her children Cynthia Parker and her husband Mark and Timothy Cowper, grandchildren Katelynne Cowper, Madeline Parker, Ryan Parker, Timothy Iamurri, great grandchildren Autumn Cowper, Ava Cowper, Hailee Lopez, Anthony Iamurri along with her sisters, Loretta Ferren and Mary Lou MacFadyen.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2022 from 12:30 pm until the time of service at 1:00 pm at Holy Innocents Episcopal Church, 410 South Atlantic Ave, Beach Haven, NJ 08008. Interment will follow in the Holy Innocents Memorial Garden. In lieu of flowers contributions to Smiletrain.org/3Xmatch..
