Helen M Cusick

Helen M. Cusick (née Keane) passed away on December 1, 2025 surrounded by her loved ones. She is survived by her beloved husband Robert of 47 years and the proud mother of two daughters, Courtney and Kristin. She is also survived by her loving sister Barbara Warren and brother John Keane, a full extended family, and cherished friends. Preceded by her parents John and Cecelia Keane, and her brother Michael.

Born in New York City on August 18, 1956, growing up in the neighborhood of Inwood where she would meet the love of her life Bob and raise their two daughters, later on residing in Nanuet. She attended Good Shepherd School and Mother Cabrini High School before going to Pace University to complete her Associate degree in Nursing and later completing her bachelor's degree at CUNY Lehman College. She worked at Jacobi Hospital for over 40 years as a nurse in the Pediatric ICU and Ambulatory Services where she healed and touched the hearts of many children.

Helen loved spending time with her family and friends, especially during the Christmas season with a giant Christmas tree. She enjoyed traveling, seeing new places, sending a postcard every new place she went as well as basking in the sun on the beach with the ocean waves, with many decades at the Jersey Shore. She loved the little things that brought her great joy like hot fries from McDonalds, planting flowers as spring came, and doing daily word games.

Helen lived a full and beautiful life and will be forever missed by her family.

Visiting Hours for Helen Cusick will be Friday, December 5, 2025 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home in Pearl River, NY. A funeral mass will be held at St. Margaret's Church for Saturday, December 6th at 10:00am. A cemetery service will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Nyack.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to two organizations dear to her heart, Operation Christmas Child Samaritan's Purse and Breakthrough Type 1 Diabetes Diabetes.
